Ripping cd's

It can be some tricky to rip music (copy it) from a CD, depending on your CD-ROM drive.
The first thing you need is a CD ripper, download one at this page. When you rip music
from a CD, it will be saved at your computer as wav-files. If you rip tracks from a CD,
your are most likely to encode it to MP3 format. Read our brief FAQ on how to encode
MP3's here.

If you have problems ripping CD's with the ripper you downloaded - just try another one.
Not all CD rippers works with every CD-ROM drive, so you'll just have to try a different
ripper if it doesn't work.

Keep in mind that you may NOT encode CD's you have purchased and post the MP3 files on
the Internet. If you do so, you may be liable in copyright infridgement. However, you are
allowed to encode your own CD's if you want to listen to them at your own computer.
